See the change 1 day and a group of volunteers can make to a community devastated by a fire.
On a Sunday, their only day off, a group of All Hands volunteers went down to a Filipino barangay/village. This was a place where they had worked before, building a chapel and working along side smiling families. But on this day they walked into a disaster zone.
New Year fireworks had burned down more than 65 homes. One man said: “My home survived Yolanda (Super Typhoon Haiyan), but this, no.”
The volunteers brought shovels, bolt cutters, wheel barrows, and sacks. By the end of the day they had removed the debris and helped homeowners clear their homes. Check out the video below and head over to hands.org for more info.
